1.Tell us a bit about Artisans of Devizes:
A family business established in 1990 – with little more than a workshop, craft skills and a fascination with the infinite variety and beauty of natural stone, Artisans of Devizes has grown into a world-leading stone company.
We’ve been inspired by stone for more than 25 years. The art of distinction is a way of life.
2. What services do you provide?
We supply natural stone and decorative tiles to architects, design professionals, and homeowners. This can help you to modify your home as stated likewise in Konnect Building Solutions website. Our team possess a level of expertise and knowledge that enables us to provide valuable technical advice for residential and commercial projects. If you are a design professional, we can offer supplier presentations, where we can meet you and your team, to introduce who we are and talk about our collections. We also offer CPD workshops in partnership with RIBA for specifying natural stone. For homeowners, we are on hand to help with home improvement projects in both our Chelsea Harbour and Devizes showroom. 3.Explain the process of working with you:
We have a dedicated sales team, who possess a level of expertise and knowledge, that enables us to provide valuable technical advice to architects, design professionals and home owners.
Working in partnership with project managers, we learn and understand the look and feel of a space they’re trying to achieve. Based on form, function and the designer’s aspiration for the space, we can advise on product, colour, pattern, texture, tone and durability. With samples to hand, and our extensive knowledge of stone and decorative tiles, our clients can feel assured that they’re in safe hands. We pride ourselves on delivering projects for clients on time and on budget.
4.What are your best selling products?
Our best-selling products include our ever-favourite limestones: Buscot and Trusloe. Limestone is perfect for creating the desired classic look of an old country home, and can certainly add character to any room. Buscot, mimics similar markings found in native English stone. The rustic limestone adds charm to a space, popular with kitchen interiors, living spaces and exterior patios. Trusloe has a certain presence in our limestone collection; it is distinguished, remarkable and irresistible. The stone is smooth with slight undulations which enhances its character. The seasoned finish adds a time worn look, making the stone perfect for creating that old country home design.
5.What has been your biggest/ favourite project to date?
One of our favourite projects to date is Soho Farmhouse. Set in 100 acres of Oxfordshire countryside, the rural retreat combines the comforts of a boutique hotel with Canadian wilderness cabin and American country club. The client wanted to create a seamless country house feel leading from the internal pool to the exterior pool and surrounding terraces. We used approximately 700m2 of Trusloe, which is a characterful and hard-wearing limestone, perfect for interior and exterior use, around the pool surrounds, terraces and copings on the pathways. This project showcases our beautiful and authentic limestone in a luxe meets rustic environment.
6.How does working with an interior designer work, from your perspective?
Working with an interior designer offers a fantastic opportunity to partnership and build a rapport. We can support designers with their aspirations for a project, on hand for colour and technical advice. We love working with interiors, each designer’s approach is different. It’s great to see projects unfold; how our stone or decorative tiles are incorporated into a space. When a project is complete, we work with the designer to photograph the look. Photographs are key for showcasing interiors. Eye catching images can capture the imagination of your audience in both digital and print. Partnering with an interior designer, both parties can raise their brand awareness, through promoting the project, with accompanied images, through social media and press channels.
7.How do you ensure quality?
We ensure quality through our procurement chain. Selecting a product which maintains our brand values of quality is key. From manufacturing, handling, packaging and transportation of product, we ensure our products are sustainably sourced.
